Stine’s Life • Born on October 8, 1943 • Had one brother named Bill • Had one sister named Pam • His mother worked at home and his father worked as a shipping clerk • There were rumors about his attic but when he ventured there he only found an old typewriter which sparked the beginning of his writing.

Stine is famous for writing horror stories and publishing excellent books. Did you know that R.L. Stine has sold over 300 million Goosebumps and 220 million Fear Street books? R.L. Stine was born on October 8, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio. He lived in Columbus, Ohio until he was famous, and then he moved to New York. . Before he wrote Goosebumps he wrote comics. When he lived in his house in Ohio, he had a bad attic. When he went upstairs he found an old typewriter and that is how he began writing comics. R.L. Stine has one brother and one sister. His brother’s name is Bill, and his sister’s name is Pam. His mother was always working at home. His dad was a shipping clerk. He attended Ohio State University. R.L. Stine wrote his first Fear Street book, Blind Date in 1986. R.L. Stine didn’t get inspired by one person, but he was inspired by comics. He was married to Jane Waldhorn in 1969. R.L. Stine made a difference in the world by showing others that reading is a great thing to do. I think that he should be remembered because horror books are the best to read. My life has changed because he made me think horror books, or any kinds of books are good. I would like to write books and be famous just like R.L. Stine.
