National School Breakfast Week • Launched in 1989 • Goals are to share several important messages with students, parents and the media: • The school breakfast program (SBP) is available at your school, it meets dietary guidelines and, best of all; it is a tasty fun way to start the school day! • There is an established link between eating breakfast and academic success. • Eating a nutritious breakfast can help kids maintain a healthy weight.
