DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITYTeacher Education Program • Admissionto Student Teaching Requirements: • Satisfactory completion of all professional education coursework with a “C” or better • Successful completion of Level III Field Experiences based on an evaluation from the cooperating teacher and recommendation from the assigned university supervisor • Completed meeting with the Director of Field Services to review program/degree audit, placement preference information, and the disclosure of convictions • Completed meeting with the DSU Registrar for the purposes of a final degree audit and application for graduation

Exam must be successfully completed according to current established minimum scores prior to student teaching. • Complete and submit application packet for student teaching • Application (basic information and placement preference) • Letter of introduction • Disclosure of Convictions • Program check sheet • Recommendation Forms (2) (One must be from Level III university supervisor)

Note: The Student Assessment & Monitoring Committee reviews applications and notifies candidate in writing of admission status.
