  1. What Type of Foam Is a Great Choice for Recycling? Foam is an excellent form of plastic aerated to increase the volume and create a cushioning effect for packaging. It can be created in different variations considering the specific need of industries. As it is made of plastic, foam can cause an environmental hazard when discarded and dumped. Hence, recycling is mandatory in the modern world. Different types of scrap foam; can be recycled. Let us find out the best recyclable foam used these days. Recyclable foam for modern use  Expanded polystyrene foam (EPS) EPS is scrap foamthat can be recycled. It is white and brittle. It is white and brittle. It has a beaded texture. It is used generally to package fragile items such as tableware and cups. Extruded polystyrene foam (XPS)  This foam; is used for insulation purposes. It is used typically in the construction industries for insulating walls in residential and commercial projects. Polyethylene foam It is dense and used as a protection medium in packaging industries. During transit, the packages often tolerate wear and tear, resulting in damage to the products inside. Polyethylene foam is used for denser packaging and protecting items from shock. Its dense property reduces the volume of the packages.  Polyurethane Foam This foam; is used for furniture padding, athletic mats, and carpet underlay. This scrap foam can be recycled for future use. These are examples of scrap foamthat can be recycled and reused. You can see that all of these foams are polymeric. A specific process can disintegrate the polymer units and make them fit for reuse in different industries. It is conducted by the recycling facilities that are adept at handling various foams. This step does not let discarded foams damage the environment.
