  2. Ankle Pumps • Sit down or lie down as per your comfort to do this exercise. • Bend and straighten the ankles slowly.  • Try to keep your knees straight and toes pointed. • Keep moving the ankles (whole ankle, not just the toes) up and down.

  3. Knee Presses • Lie down on your back and keep both your legs straight. • Keep a pillow underneath your leg. • Now hold your muscles tight and move your kneecap up and down.  • Then hold your leg in the air for 5 seconds. • Now relax your thigh muscles. • Note: practice this exercise only after discussing it with thec.

  4. Leg Raises • Lie down on your back.  • Keep the operated leg straight, and bent the other one at 90° • Now lift your operated leg at 45° while keeping the thigh muscle tight. • Do it for 20 seconds and bring back the operated leg to its initial position.

  5. Heel Slides • Lie down and keep your legs straight. • No slide your heels up till your buttocks. • Keep your knee pointed upwards and try to bend as per your comfort level. • Keep a thick tray or cardboard underneath your heel to help it move faster. Remember to perform at least ten repetitions of these exercises for at least two times a day.
