The Timeless Traditional Rituals of South Indian wedding – Part 2 Groom Arrival and Varapoja BHEEGARA MANE –GROOM’S SPECIAL ROOM This is the room that is decorated to welcome the Groom and his family. The room entrance is decorated with thorna and fresh flowers and garlands. Tables are laid out and draped elegantly with cloth and Centrally the photo of the family deity of the groom’s party is placed. The necessary puja items like Deepa, Arashina kumkuma bowls, Ghante(bell) and Arathi plate are kept in front of the photo. A decorative bindige(vessel) is filled with water and Normally the steel and kitchenware are displayed artistically on the table. A basket of fruits and vegetables are also kept. Towels and toiletries are neatly stacked.
