Of the ones I've seen these are in my opinion my top 15. 1 Shiki By far one of the most terrifying and disturbing anime of all time. Based on a horror novel by Fuyumi Ono. In a world where good and evil can't be distinguished this disturbing story starts with the death of Megumi Shimizu in the small Japanese village of Sotoba which causes a pandemic that turns normal people into vampires. 'Shiki’ presents a terrifying story about an onslaught of vampires invading this rural village. As this story unfolds the terror mounts as one person after another dies and joins the ranks of the undead. Well worth watching for all vampire fans. 2 Blood the Last Vampire An anime film with Unique Art based on the Manga. Saya is a vampire daywalker who hunts other vampires for a government organization. There was also a live-action remake. Set against the backdrop of the Vietnam War era in 1966, the setting is the Yokota Air Base in Japan, a U.S. military facility. Appearing to be a schoolgirl, Saya is the last of the original vampires. She is tormented by a deep-seated hatred for her own kind. She especially hates the bat-like creatures known as chiropterans who can disguise themselves as humans. Working for the ‘Red Shield', a clandestine organization that hunts these creatures her sole aim is to hunt and kill chiropterans. Horror and drama blend as the story unfolds with its themes of identity, purpose, and the struggle between good and evil. This a vampire anime well worth your time. 3. Blood + A sequel somewhat to Blood the Last Vampire it picks up where the film left off in Vietnam and then time jumps to the present day. Saya Otonashi lives a happy life with her adoptive family as a regular schoolgirl having no memory of her past or the events that unfolded in Vietnam. Her life is transformed forever after meeting a friend from her past and being attacked by a Chiropteran, a bat-like creature that survives by drinking human blood. Saya discovers she is the single person who can defeat them as her blood is poison to them. She sets out once again to destroy them. Soon she finds herself once again working with the ‘Red Shield. Along the way, we learn about her origin and her meeting and battle with Rasputin. Soon she discovers more vampires that unlike her have to avoid sunlight. One of the best vampire anime a story of love, family, and sacrifice. it is well worth watching.

  2. 4. Blood- c Saya is once again without her memories of the past having been experimented on and given a new name and identity. Now Saya Kisaragi a schoolgirl by day and by night battles creatures that feed on human blood called Elder Bairns. As these monsters begin to attack in the daytime, Saya realizes something isn't right. As she regains her memories her life is forever changed. 5. Blood-C The Last Dark An anime feature film sequel to the Blood-c series Saya is once again fighting monsters as she teams up with a group of monster fighters, SIRRUT, a group of ingenious hackers who enlist Saya to help them defeat a common enemy and take revenge on the big bad of the previous series. 6. Moon Phase A 26-episode anime about vampires featuring action and comedy. The series focuses on the relationship between a human and a vampire. The story is about Kohei Morioka a photographer for hire. As he investigates a castle in Germany, he meets Hazuki, a young vampiress. She bites him and tries to make Kohei her slave, but she finds she cannot control him which is a fact that infuriates her. When he returns to Japan she escapes from the castle and follows him. Taking up residence in his home with his family. They soon find that she's a daywalker and the target of vampires who want her ability to walk in the daylight. 7. Rosario +Vampire Teenager Tsukune Aono is enrolled in Youkai Academy by accident. As it turns out he's the one human in a school full of monsters in human form. He soon becomes involved with a female student, Moka Akashiya, who is a powerful vampire whose powers are sealed by the rosary she wears. When it’s removed, her full powerful vampire self emerges. As the series progresses more female students/monsters join them as they battle against other monsters. A mix of comedy, romance, and supernatural elements 8. Dance in the Vampire Bund Mina Tepes is the ruler of all vampires. Her quest is to create a haven for her kind, a district known as the “Vampire Bund” which would be on a man-made island in Japan. This series dives into themes of trust, love, and betrayal all in a complex plot. Mina meets Akira Kaburagi, a werewolf sworn to protect her, and their relationship is much of the mystery and drama that adds depth to the narrative. This is a must-watch for fans of Vampire lore. 9. Vampire Knight Cross Academy where students are divided into two classes: the Day Class and the Night Class. The Night Class harbors a secret—they are all vampires. This series delves into the life of Yuki Cross who is the academy’s guardian and who protects the Day Class students from the vampires. A blend of romance, suspense, and drama this series follows Yuki as she unravels the mysteries of her past. 10. Vampire Hunter D

  3. In a post-apocalyptic world, ‘Vampire Hunter D’ takes place in a future where vampires, known as Nobility, once ruled. The story centers around a mysterious and powerful dhampir (half- vampire, half-human) called D, who takes on the dangerous missions of hunting down rogue vampires and malevolent supernatural entities. 11. Hellsing A dark anime with lots of humor and action. The show is 13 episodes long. A lot of violence and action. A vampire named Alucard works for the Hellsing family to hunt down Vampires and other undead creatures in the name of the Queen and country of England. During the first episode he rescues a female police officer named Seras, but in doing so, turns her into a vampire. He takes her into Hellsing as his disciple. As the series progresses the discovery of a computer chip/virus that converts normal humans into essentially a lower class of vampires is made. This show is for lovers of gothic horror and dark, intense drama. 12. Blood Lad Staz Charlie is a powerful vampire who rules a part of the Demon World. He doesn't feel the urge to drink any blood. Instead, he would rather spend his time reading manga and playing video games Then one day he meets Fuyumi Yanagi. She is a human girl who accidentally enters the portal to Demon World. They feel an immediate attraction. an attack on his territory causes her death and she becomes a ghost. Joined by a magician and half-wolfman, Staz and Fuyumi journey across Demon World to find the magic to restore her life and make her human again. A blend of dark themes with comedic undertones this anime doesn’t take itself too seriously. 13. Vampire Princess Miyu Using her skills as a hybrid vampire— one of her parents is human. She wants to give the gift of eternal happiness to the human race by destroying the evil demons known as Shinm. The series blurs the lines between good and evil as it presents a world where everything is not as it seems. An atmospheric animation with its haunting music makes this one a must-see. 14. Seraph of the End A mysterious virus decimates the adult population, and vampires emerge from the shadows to enslave the remaining humans, treating them as livestock. Yuichiro Hyakuya is a young survivor who dreams of fighting back and joins the Japanese Imperial Demon Army. With themes of revenge, friendship, and sacrifice 'Seraph of the End’ is a testament to the human spirit’s resilience. 15. Karin Karin Maaka doesn't act like a normal vampire. She goes out in daylight, goes to High School, and sees her reflection in the mirror. She doesn't bite humans for their blood and gets nosebleeds. A new transfer student, Kenta, gets her blood racing. Karin is a coming-of-age romantic comedy about a teenage vampire that's a fun watch.
