The only difference is that the printer can switch between materials at the designated time. It helps create a soluble support structure; they can work simultaneously or independently, depending on the type of 3D printer chosen. Both types have unique characteristics.

  3. What is the difference between these two types of 3D printers? • Dependent dual extruders have been designed so that the nozzle always stays in contact with each other. These nozzles are meant to move in the same direction during the making process. You will realize that some dependent dual extruders cannot lift off the object the machine is printing. So this usually causes the printer to bump into the objects it is printing, hence the damaged model. • Independent dual extruder, or 3D printer IDEX, has been designed so that the nozzles work independently for more specialized projects. Unlike a dual-dependent printer, this one can lift away from the object being produced, protecting the object from being damaged during printing. Two technical functions of IDEX are mirror mode and copy mode.
