  1. The Strangeness of Lake Michigan: UFOs, Petoskey Stone, Bermuda Triangle & More Lake Michigan is one of the biggest 5 lakes in North America that compass 22400 miles across the entire west court of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. But beneath its surface lies several mysteries that have obstructed experts and sparked the thoughts of people for many years. The lake is known for its unexplained phenomena and treacherous currents from UFOs sightings to mysterious disappearances. In this blog, we will traverse some of the most intriguing enigmas of this great lake and unravel the mysteries and legends associated with it. The Occurrence of Petoskey Stones The existence of Petoskey stones in lake Michigan is a fascinating and strange phenomenon. These are unique types of stones that are only present in this lake. They are composed of fossilized corals that are millions of years old and known for their hexagonal patterns and distinctive colors. These stones were formed in the Devonian period of prehistoric times, and are now popular among tourists and visitors. Despite their popularity, their occurrence in saltwater is still an unexplained mystery. The truth that these ancient rocks have survived for countless years and are still discoverable today is a testament to the enduring power of nature.

  2. Formation of Ice Balls & Sand Dunes Ice balls of various sizes have been spotted on the shorelines of lake Michigan. These are tiny pieces of ice rolled by the currents and air and resulting in a larger and spherical shape. Their size range from the size of a tennis ball to a basketball. Which force causes them to occasionally roll up and form? This is still an unanswered phenomenon. The lake is known for its unpredictable weather, which can turn calm waters into a deadly maelstrom in no moments. Almost 1,800,000 years old wind-blown sand has formed sand dunes in the lake. Their size depends upon the strength and direction of the winds and creates towering hills and valleys that stretch along the shoreline.
