And around 0.0001% of it is floating around in the air above us right now. If all of this water starts falling, at once it would give Earth a total of around 1 inch of rain. – Water Assist Us to Promote Satiety & Hunger Control Did you know that the hypothalamus in your brain is home to your natural "thirst center," which also helps control your appetite? Not sure you are hungry? Maybe a glass of water can fulfill your appetite. – Many Living Beings Can Survive on a Drop of Water There are several living things that can live on a single drop of water. These include millions of bacteria, algae, and viruses. Most of these creatures are harmless to other living organisms. Fish eggs, baby crabs, and even little worms can also live their whole life on a single drop. – It’s Great that Ice Can Float When water gets dense, all the atoms come closer to form a solid. That’s why solids sink into the water. But solid water and ice are less dense and water molecules arrange them in the form of rings when the water starts freezing. This reduces the density of the ice and makes it able to float on water. And it is a great phenomenon that ice floats on the water because if it couldn't, the whole ocean would freeze. – Human Bodies are Almost Water Roughly 78% of a newborn baby's body is composed of water and 55% to 60% of an adult's body is water. Water plays a vital role in every physiological process of the human body. It's a major component of the blood and transports nutrients throughout the body. Water eliminates the waste of the body.
