TYPES OF PLUMBING VALVES

SS butterfly valve and DI butterfly valve regulates or isolates the flow of the fluid. Single plate check valve and dual plate check valve are also known as one-way, clack and non-return valves. CI Non Return Valve is also known as Reflux valve. Water flows from higher pressure to lower. Check valve installed at the bottom of a pipeline or a pump is known as CI foot valves.

  1. TYPES OF PLUMBING VALVES • Butterfly Valve • Single & Dual Plate Check Valve • CI Non-Return Valve • CI Foot Valves

  2. BUTTERFLY VALVE (AVAILABLE IN SS & DI DISC) SS butterfly valve and DI butterfly valve regulates or isolates the flow of the fluid. A butterfly valve is usually preferred because it is reasonable than other valve designs, and also is lighter in weight so it do not require much support. The disc is located in the axis of the pipe. There is a rod passed through the disc to reach the actuator on the outside of the valve. If we rotate the actuator it will turn the disc either perpendicular or parallel depending on the flow.

  3. SINGLE PLATE CHECK VALVE & DUAL PLATE CHECK VALVE Single plate check valve and dual plate check valve are also known as one-way, clack and non-return valves. The valve which prevents the backflow of the fluid in the piping system is known as a check valve. The valves have the ability to pass fluid one way or solely. This function is crucial for safety applications and preventing overflow.

  4. CI NON-RETURN (REFLUX) VALVE CI Non Return Valve is also known as Reflux valve. Water flows from higher pressure to lower. For water distribution in the house water pressure is kept at higher pressure. Sometimes the main pressure is lessened to supply the water to fire fighters. When this happens, the water of house distribution directs to flow towards the main channel. To stop this return and flow, non-return valves are installed. They are installed between the home sewer and the city sewer line connections.

  5. CI FOOT VALVES Check valve installed at the bottom of a pipeline or a pump is known as CI foot valves. Foot valves blocks debris from entering the line. They are protected with a shield from its open end. The design of the valve opening is larger than the line itself, reducing head loss.
