  2. Ranch Events would like to share some unique ideas on how to celebrate dads on the “big day”, for a son’s or daughter’s wedding. Many dads are one of the most significant role models most children will have in their life, and a wedding is an important day for fathers. Here are some suggestions to make your dad feel special: • Thank your dad before you walk down the aisle. For a father, walking his daughter down the aisle can be both the scariest and happiest moments of his life. Before you make your big appearance, thank him and make sure he knows how important he is to you. If you have time in the morning, you can even do a “first look”. For the sons a conversation just between you and your father thanking him for molding you, guiding you and making you the man you are today. A hand-written letter explaining how much he means to you is also a wonderful way in showing dads what an important role he has played throughout your life. • Dance to your dad’s favorite song! For brides; the father-daughter wedding dance is a special tradition. The dance can be personalized by dancing to one of dad’s favorite songs. He not only will be smiling to have his little girl in his arms, but he will be grooving with his best moves. • WEDDING RECEPTIONS SAN DIEGO – HOW TO MAKE YOUR DAD FEEL SPECIAL ON YOUR WEDDING DAy

  3. Professional catering is a great way to make your baby shower or gender reveal party a success.  When you don’t have to worry about shopping, prepping, presenting or refreshing the food, you can relax and enjoy the festivities.  And Ranch Events would love to help you plan this special event. • Although you should always base your food menu on the specifics of your event – time, location, theme, budget – these ideas will help make your event as smooth as it is memorable. • Offer One-Bite Finger Foods • By offering one- or two-bite finger foods, you accomplish several helpful objectives. You eliminate the need for plates and flatware – reducing both your cost and the amount of trash your party creates. • You’ll also be able to offer more variety for your guests. As a general rule, plan for five to six different foods and two of each item per guest. This will average out while as some guests will eat more and some less; when you hire Ranch Events there is always plenty of food, even if you hold your event near mealtime. • Spread the Spread Around Your • To keep the party flowing, place food stations or platters scattered throughout the space. Your guests can grab interesting looking items as they pass by or as they chat nearby. • By spreading the offerings around the room, you can help avoid the logjam that tends to build up if you offer your food all in one location. You’ll also discourage the reclusive plate pilers and help ensure you have food available throughout the event. • Vary Your Food Offerings • The likes and dislikes of your guests will be varied and, in many cases, dietary restrictions will be a consideration. Be sure to offer a variety of items so everyone has plenty to eat, even if they can’t eat everything. • You may also have guests who follow special diets or have dietary restrictions for medical reasons. Consider having at least a few vegan or vegetarian options too. • PARTY PLANNING SAN DIEGO – CATERING IDEAS FOR BABY SHOWERS & GENDER REVEALS

  4. WEDDING RECEPTIONS SAN DIEGO – HOW TO MAKE YOUR DAD FEEL SPECIAL ON YOUR WEDDING DAY • The concept of Micro-Weddings (it’s like the fun-sized mini versions of my favorite candy bars!) is nothing new.  While micro weddings gained popularity in 2020, thanks to COVID-19 protocols, TikTok has since kept the trend alive, revealing that many couples are still opting for smaller, cheaper ceremonies • Over the past decade Micro-Weddings have been steadily growing in popularity.  Couples cite many reasons for choosing a smaller celebration – from economics to just wanting a more intimate experience. • What is a Micro-Wedding? • A Micro-Wedding is loosely defined as any wedding with 50 or fewer guests.  That’s it!  The rest is left for the creative bride and groom to define for themselves. And, with a smaller guest list the options for creating a celebration that reflects your personal styles are practically limitless. • Spaces once considered too small for larger weddings could be just perfect for your micro-wedding.  Do you want to get married in a garden? How about an art gallery or a yoga studio? Under a tent in your own backyard or on a nearby farm?  Your favorite brewery, a public park, a boat or an urban rooftop?  Your venue choices can be boundless. • Your ceremony can be as traditional or non-traditional as you want!  Imagine a ceremony where all of your guests have a front row seat as you exchange your vows, or, giving your guests a reading to recite.  Smaller weddings give you the opportunity to really connect with each and every person in the room.  With fewer than 50 guests in attendance you’ll really be able to let each and every one of them know how very special they are.

  6. You’ve picked a date, found a venue, booked the band and now it’s time to turn your attention to the food.   Perhaps you’ve already selected a caterer or maybe you’re trying to decide between your top two or three and you’re wondering when or even if you should ask for a tasting. In most cases, answer is, YES!  Food is the most expensive line item on any event budget, and for many, the most important. • The Tasting isn’t just an important step in the process it is also, unequivocally, the most fun.   Whether you are scheduling a tasting with your selected caterer to try to zero in on a final menu or are visiting a handful of caterers to help you select the perfect fit for your taste and budget, here are some dos and don’ts to help you get the most from your experience. • DO try to be flexible with your day and time • DON’T expect to taste every item on your menu • DO find out if there is a charge for a tasting • DO ask questions • DON’T schedule more than three, four at the most, tastings • DO come hungry • DO be on time and DON’T show up with fewer or extra guests • DO think outside the plate • Planning for an event is a journey, a really long and sometimes stressful and exhausting journey – you should choose carefully the people you want to take along with you for the ride.  Ranch Events will make it a smooth and a stress-free ride by designing and coordinating your BIG DAY. • WEDDING RECEPTIONS SAN DIEGO – HOW TO GET THE MOST FROM YOUR TASTING
