How Do Multipoint Locking Systems Improve the Security and Performance of Doors and Windows-

A safe and secure structure is required for any project, whether residential or commercial. Habitants are increasingly concerned with security and want to feel safe, but they don't want to feel like they're living in a fortress. Modern design favours open, free-flowing spaces, which may be incompatible with modern security systems. Multipoint window and door locking systems are a beautiful solution to this design problem.

  1. How Do Multipoint Locking Systems Improve the Security and Performance of Doors and Windows? A safe and secure structure is required for any project, whether residential or commercial. Habitants are increasingly concerned with security and want to feel safe, but they don't want to feel like they're living in a fortress. Modern design favours open, free-flowing spaces, which may be incompatible with modern security systems. Multipoint window and door locking systems are a beautiful solution to this design problem. Multipoint Locking Systems for Windows and Doors A multipoint locking system, unlike a basic standard door lock, usually contains three locking points. Instead of being concentrated in one location, the forced entrance load is distributed across the entire door panel. Multipoint locking systems originated in Europe and are gaining popularity in India due to their potential to increase door and window security. Benefits of Multipoint Door Locks The most significant advantage of a multi-point locking system for a window or door is increased security and improved occupant safety. This locking system has additional advantages over a normal door lock. Ideal for Large Exterior Doors

  2. Because of the enormous number of products employed in today's architecture, stronger locking mechanisms are required. It's far more difficult to protect doors that are longer than eight to ten feet. Even the highest doors and windows may be secured at three locations with a multipoint locking system: the centre, top, and bottom. Improved Performance Weather stripping performance can also be improved using multipoint systems, which provide a more secure and weather resistant seal. This is one of the reasons why multipoint locking systems have gained popularity in Europe, where energy code requirements are stricter. Concealed Component The appearance of a door or window is unaffected by multipoint locking systems. Narrow uPVC sash profiles can be fitted with a multipoint system while maintaining the unobtrusive site lines. To give the most security and weather strip compression for our uPVC windows and doors, LGF Symmachus’s Multipoint locking handles for windows whenever practical. How it Works The multipoint swing door systems from LGF SYSMAC work by locking an active door, as well as the top of the frame and bottom of the sill, into an inactive door. To secure a swing door, follow these steps: • Pull the lever up to involve all locking points • Push down on door lever for usual use • To lock the door, turn the key or thumb-turn and press down on the lever. • To unlock the door, turn the key or thumb turn and push down on the lever. * Our multipoint swing window system prevents an inactive sash from opening by capturing it and securing it with top and bottom snapper locks. • To engage the bottom and top shoot bolts on a swing window, turn the window handle 90 degrees.

  3. Homeowners and building occupants want to feel comfortable, therefore architects and designers must consider safety while designing structures. However, neither the designer nor the tenant wants to sacrifice use or beauty for the sake of security. When accessible, security measures like multipoint door and window locking systems are the optimum choice for increasing occupant safety while maintaining non-restrictive design objectives. Multi-point locking is used in our uPVC window and door systems to provide increased security and energy efficiency. LGF SYSMAC’s Multipoint locking handles for windows are designed as a single concealed component to minimise the visible influence on the window’s appearance.
