Gehlot Lays Foundation, Inaugurates Road Works Worth Rs 3,378 Cr Gehlot Lays Foundation, Inaugurates Road Works Worth Rs 3,378 Cr Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot of Rajasthan recently addressed the ongoing initiatives of the state government to establish excellent infrastructure within the region. During an event on June 1st, Gehlot unveiled remarkable achievements in road construction, emphasizing the importance of robust infrastructure for social and economic development. As Per The CM As Per The CM On Thursday, Gehlot spoke via video conference from the Chief Minister's residence at the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for 53 roads, ROBs, and bridges totaling Rs 3,377.55 crore that, “In the last 4 years, 61,000 kms of roads costing around Rs 30,000 crore have been built. Also, 70, 000 kilometers of roads have been sanctioned and Rs 42,000 crore have been issued for the construction of roads. In this manner, the state government has constructed about 1.30 lakh kms at a cost of over Rs 70, 000 crore.” According to the Chief Minister, only by building quality roads can the region's social and economic development be ensured. "It is a result of the state government's policies that today the roads of the state are better than the neighboring states. The Public Works Department has done outstanding work over the last four years. Work orders for construction projects have been published as a result of timely completion of the tender process.”
