  1. Pet Friendly Drug Rehab Pet Friendly Drug rehab assists thousands of addicts across the United States and helps them to return to their normal lives each year. Although people formerly viewed addiction as a plain lack of determination, drug rehab experts now know it as a neurological illness. Even severe cases of addiction can be cured with established rehabilitation. The most accepted therapies for drug rehab are evidence-based therapies. These are treatment methods that have been tested in controlled environments, confirmed to turn out lasting recoveries, and permitted by government and private agencies equally. They for the most part consist of individual counseling, group discussions, and family therapy. Nevertheless, there are quite a few other methods which rehab centers use and they have produced great results over the last several years. One of these methods is reality therapy, it is a set of treatments intended to assist addicts make smooth shift from clinical environments to the outside world. Here are a few vital facets of reality therapy for drug rehab. Lifelike Environments Most rehab clinics using reality therapy for managing inpatients’ daily life and for this patient’s have to stay within the treatment facility for 1 to 3 months. Usually 50 hrs or more of therapy is given to drug addicts per week. Some of these therapies help addicts connect to real life daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, washing or shopping for items. This helps addicts get used to the daily chores of life and overcome their addiction and helps make the transition to normal life easier. Learning About Control Living alongside others is one more thing that drug addicts learn in rehab centers, they learn to live with others without compromising their own needs as well as of others. This helps rehab patients understand and differentiate situations they can control and things that are out of their control. Being able to make this choice helps them face and handle real life situations in a much better way. Cravings – Avoidance or Mitigation? Throughout individual counseling meetings, rehab patients develop two types of approach for countering potential drug cravings in the future. The first thing that they learn about are the addiction triggers and ways to avoid these triggers altogether. Second, they learn ways to control their cravings in case they face unavoidable situations. Reality therapists educate addicts to observe evasion in circumstances they cannot control. For example, heroin addicts can take roundabout paths to office or school so as to keep away from driving by dealers’ houses or places where they used to get high.
