  3. The Turbo or Directa coulters currently used in Argentina have been substituted for the American market by the RADIAL COULTER BLADES, a coulter with a similar performance but a different wave layout. FIELD TESTRADIAL COULTER BLADE

  10. RADIAL COULTER BLADES The Radial design features LINEAR and ASYMMETRICAL waves which cut progressively with minimum effort and reduced soil stirring but outstanding trash cutting capacity.

  11. RADIAL COULTER BLADE MAIN ADVANTAGES: +Outstanding cutting capacity +Minimum vertical penetration force +Minimum stirring +Higher seeding speed +Superb self-sharpening capacity +More furrow humidity These features make the Radial Coulter the best choice for trash cutting with minimum soil stirring.

  12. Straight asymmetrical waves Radial Coulters differ from the standard sinusoidal wavy coulters in the sense that the latter cause greater soil stirring and humidity loss. Standard wavy coulters are neither recommended for areas where humidity is scarce nor for excessively damp soils as the soil may get stuck to the coulter surface. Straight asymmetrical waves produce less stirring, keep the soil humid for a longer time and allow for longer seeding periods. They also perform better on damp soil as sticky soil comes off the straight waves easily.

  13. A BETTER CHOICE Turbo coulter blades scatter a significant amount of soil due to the fact that the tangential waves produce a “spoon effect” which causes upwards, backwards and side soil spreading.

  14. A BETTER CHOICE The straight waves on Radial coulters, on the contrary significantly reduce soil spreading outside the trench with improved trash cutting capacity. The coulter wave foldings cut a neat strip of soil with minimum soil disturbance. ASYMMETRICAL WAVES
