  3. Boating Classes • Basic Class held in February and September at Keiser University • Junior Safe Boating Classes held at David Schechter Community Center in Satellite Beach in April during Spring Break and June • Additional Advanced Navigation courses offered to members

  4. Monthly Meetings • Members gather on the 3rd Monday of each month at 1930 for informative meetings • Meetings are held at Satellite Beach Civic Center at 565 Cassia Blvd. • Guest Speakers are invited on boating insurance, boating regulations, community service, etc. • Call (321) 777-3750

  5. Blessing of the Fleet • In May, near Dragon Point south of Mather’s Bridge, the squadron has its annual Blessing of the Fleet ceremony. • This is held during National Safe Boating Week along with other related activities. Captain Fred Mueller and the “Four Degrees”

  6. Community Service and Coop Charting • Cooperative Charting is scheduled in the Banana River • Environmental programs supported

  7. Hooked on Fishing • In the spring, we attend the Hooked on Fishing event to assist youngsters get involved with fishing and boating. • We also host Poster Contests for youngsters.

  8. Supports Safer Family Boating Vessel Safety Check Program • Free Program • Assists boaters in complying with federal and state recreational boating laws and regulations. USPS® - dedicated to making boating safer and more fun

  9. Opportunities for socializing • Commanders ‘Change of Watch’ at an annual luncheon • On water activities like cruises and rendezvous • Paddling and kayak trips • Social events like potluck dinners and parties • Travel to district conferences to share ideas with other squadrons

  10. King Neptune Festival • Here we inaugurate our “pollywogs” • The fun filled picnic is held at Wickham Park in Melbourne in November. • King Neptune and his lovely mermaids with our Power Squadron master of ceremonies

  11. Holiday Boat Parade • In December, we host the annual Holiday boat parade. • The parade is held at 1800 and proceeds south of the Pineda Causeway down the Grand Canal in Satellite Beach.
