Tuesday 17 June

  • Soccer:
  • 1) France-Italy
  • 2) The Netherlands – Romania
  • Action points:
  • Frans Jorissen and Yves-Marie to provide samples to the partner in Münster for analysis.
  • Cleaning issues should be clarified.

  • Status WP 1

Jelle Bijma (AWI, Bremerhaven)

PaleoSalt annual meeting, Angers June 16-17 2007

paleosalt

1) Develop a mechanistic understanding for the d18O-Mg/Ca based

salinity proxy

2) Develop an independent salinity proxy based on the dD of

organic compounds (and combine 1) and 2) into an additional,

d18Ow and dDw independent salinity estimate)

3) Develop an independent salinity proxy based on variations of

the elemental and isotopic ratios, incorporated into biogenic calcite
