USIMINAS GIVES DISCOUNT OF 30% IN STEEL PLATES

Due to the fall of steel products demand, Usiminas is offering a discount of 30% in the steel plates. According to information obtained in the market, the strategy is not linked to Vale´s decision to reduce 20% of the iron ore price, which is the major raw material for steel production.

Usiminas strategy is very agressive, as this discount of 30% surpasses the average decrease of the other steel product materials since beginning of this year, which is around 10% to 15%.
