  1. All You Need to Know about Rodent Traps Rodents are a great nuisance to warehouses, offices and residential complexes. They are carriers of dangerous diseases and can create havoc by causing material and financial damages. Therefore, they need to be eradicated before the problem goes out of control. There are various ways of rodent control, such as rodent trapping or rodent baiting. Rodent trapping is a non-toxic but highly effective means. There are four types of traps commonly used. They are as follows. Snap Traps: This is a technique by which a rodent is snapped with a metal bar. It’s in use for ages. Electronic Traps: This is a technique by which the trapped mouse or rat is killed with high voltage shock. It is economical and quick. Multiple Catch Traps: This is a technique by which multiple mice, rats or other small rodents can be caught inside a trap one after the other, without getting killed. Glue Traps: This is a technique by which the rodent is made immobile by contact with an adhesive. Glue traps are very cheap and cannot be used for a long time as they gradually lose their effectiveness. Strategic placement of the traps is extremely important for the highest success rate toward rodent control. If you suspect more than one rat in your house, you should place different types of traps at the same time rather than trying to catch them one by one as procrastination may aggravate the rat infestation. Keep checking the rattrap at least twice a day because once caught, the rat needs to be removed immediately to avoid any health hazards caused due to the decay and decomposition of the rat. Rat infestationcan be best controlled by professional exterminators as they use the right technique in the right situation with all the safety measures in place. They have the expertise to find out the hiding places of rodents and they set the traps accordingly. They also choose the type of trap that would work best circumstantially. They will also do follow-up visits and inspections to ensure complete eradication of rodents. In fact, professional exterminators seal the house to avoid any future encroachment.

  2. It is highly recommended to act fast even if you see a single sign of rat infestation as rats and mice breed really fast and a couple of rodents are capable of breeding large families before you even realize.
