Summary
  • The girls did an assessment before and after being in the group. They rated themselves from 1(Not at All) to 5 (Very Much).
  • The girls in “Being Me” showed on self assessment they worried less and were not as shy.
  • The assessment showed they were happier, friendlier, more confident and felt they were part of a group.
  • “Being Me” did help the students to be able to have the tools to successfully deal with issues the girls face.
recommendations
Recommendations
  • Continue to monitor this group of students next year and see if the lessons carried over.
  • Do a “Being Me” group every quarter with different girls.
  • Start a group just for boys and focus on issues they face.
