  2. Barcase Braces vary in appearance. Some braces are clear, nearly invisible, while others are made of stainless steel and may or may not have colored elastics around them. All braces are designed to enable the orthodontist to move teeth in three dimensions. Teeth move through the use of force. The force applied by the archwire pushes the tooth in a particular direction and a stress is created within the periodontal ligament. The modification of the periodontal blood supply determines a biological response which leads to bone remodeling, where bone is created on one side by osteoblast cells and resorbed on the other side by osteoclasts. A tooth will usually move about a millimeter per month during orthodontic movement, but there is high individual variability. Orthodontic mechanics can vary in efficiency, thus explaining a wide range of response to orthodontic treatment.

  3. Teeth Filling Fillings as a way of dentistry treatment is known since ancient times. The Egyptians made fillings of a dust millstone mixed with honey. And in China since the Middle Ages teeth were filled by an silver amalgam – and this method has survived up to now. When a dentist makes tooth filling, first he removes diseased tissue decay, and then clean out the infected area, then the cleaned area is filled with special solution. The solution prevents the further spread of decay, and as a consequence – the destruction of the tooth. Perhaps you have the impression that the whole process of installation of a filling is one continuous pain, or at least a whole range of unpleasant sensations. It is not right. In our office a tooth filling takes place under local anesthesia, the patient feels nothing during the filling, at the same time he is fully conscious. If you notice a hole in the tooth, it means that the process is rather neglected, at least initial caries has already developed. If the decay is close to the root the dentist has to clean and fill root canals.

  4. Bite correction Not everyone is born with perfect teeth. Many people have a misaligned bite, also called a malocclusion. An ideal bite means that your upper teeth fit slightly over the lower teeth. Are there different types of bites? And can they be corrected? Yes and yes. Bite correction can align teeth, fixing any misalignment, such as a cross bite or a deep bite. Teeth alignment essentially corrects whatever is causing the misalignment. Bite correction can properly align the teeth, alleviate pain, allow the mouth to close better and of course, make your smile more attractive. Even a slight malocclusion can put extra pressure on the muscles and teeth. Many people may not even know that they have a malocclusion until a dentist tells them. For some people though, a cross bite or deep bite can also cause a more serious and painful condition called TMJ.

  5. Teeth Extraction Contraindications Contraindications to the removal of a tooth can be a poor blood clotting, recent myocardial infarction, hypertensive crisis, infectious disease, and pregnancy. Types of extraction. There are two types of extraction: simple and surgical. Simple extraction is when the crown of the tooth or roots are clearly visible and can be grasped with forceps.. In some cases a dentist has to cut a tooth in several pieces and every part will be removed separately. A surgical extraction is performed when an access to the tooth is obstructed with soft tissues or bone, or tooth is not completely erupted. The surgeon has to open a soft tissue flap and to remove bone around the tooth and the tooth itself.

  6. Wisdom Teeth extraction Most people get their wisdom teeth emerged between the ages of 17 and 25 years. Quite often complications occur during the wisdom teeth (third molar) eruption. By this time the dental arcade is already formed with 28 teeth, which results in wisdom teeth misalignment. As a rule, it is recommended to have an upper wisdom tooth extracted, as it is hard to treat because of its hard-to-reach location, while its absence has no adverse effects, moreover, it practically excludes overcrowding of teeth, which may cause gum diseases. There are difficult cases when a dental surgeon has to remove a bone fragment, which complicates the work, but an experienced dentist is sure to cope with all difficulties.
