  2. Moving to college is exciting, but packing your belongings in boxes and leaving home can be tough. Whether you’re moving to another state, across the country, or abroad, use these moving tips on what to pack when going away to college.

Where to Start - Ask for a list of items provided by your school, as well as a list of things not allowed. - If you know you’ll be coming home during seasonal breaks, only pack for one season at a time. - Check with your roommate to see what appliances they are bringing. No point in having 2 microwaves!

  4. Long Distance Tips - Start planning your move three to six months ahead of time - Consider shipping your larger belongings - Buy your toiletries, school supplies, and small appliances after the move
