  1. 5 Types of Eco Friendly Ganesha Idols Ganesh Chaturthi calls for buying and decorating eco friendly Ganesh idols at home, enjoying delicious food, sweets, music, lights, and the immersion of the idol on the tenth day. But as the idols are curated with Plaster of Paris, harmful chemical colours, plastic decorations and other such non-biodegradable substances, the harm caused to the environment during this festival is overwhelmingly significant. So this year, consider going eco-friendly. Here are some unique and innovative types of eco friendly ganesha idols you can go for, this festive season, and become an eco conscious individual. ● Clay – This is the best option to go for if you want beautifully detailed eco friendly Ganesha. Traditionally, clay has always been in use to make idols and it is a natural, beautiful way to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi.

  2. ● Paper mache – This is a more innovative option. Paper mache is decomposable and provide a soft dough to make beautiful idols. ● Plant a ganesha! – Made up of soil, fertilizers and seeds, this form of Ganesha idol became quite popular. Instead of immersing, this is watered down so that it dissolves into the earth and grows into a sweet little plant! ● Play Dough – It is possible to DIY ganpati idols with play dough. You can even make it a family bonding time at home making the idols. ● Chocolate! – It might sound a little absurd. But it is a unique and innovative way to make an idol. A Baker crafted this back in 2014. This idol is immersed in milk instead of water at the end of the 10 days and provide an extremely eco friendly option. Instead of contributing in hazardous waste going into our water bodies in bulk, every year, contribute in protecting the earth and nature this festive season with these eco friendly idols.
