Lexington, Kentucky: Horse Capital of the World The Kentucky Horse Park International Museum of the Horse celebrates: “A Gift from the Desert: The Art, History and Culture of the Arabian Horse” This will be the first major exhibition to explore the impact of the horseon Near Eastern civilization, with particular emphasis on the first breed, the Arabian, from (May 2010-October, 2010.) Lexington, Kentucky: Horse Capital of the World The Kentucky Horse Park International Museum of the Horse celebrates: Arabian Horse Galleries In the winter of 2010, the story of the Arabian horse will come to life as never before in the Arabian Horse Galleries, a new 2 level 8,000 square feet permanent addition to the Kentucky International Museum of the Horse. Historical art and artifacts combined with theme-park style interactive exhibits will leave the visitors breathless as they enjoy a full sensory experience of the Arabian’s journey through the ages and around the world through the exhibit. A giant open book will create an entry way into the Black Stallion Experience Special Section and dedicated to the Black Stallion Books. Black Stallion Literacy Foundation 12

Lexington, Kentucky: Horse Capital of the World The Kentucky Horse Park International Museum of the Horse celebrates: The World Equestrian Games The Games are held every 4 years they are comprised of the world championships for eight equestrian sports: jumping, dressage, eventing, driving, reining, vaulting, endurance and para-dressage. The games have never taken place outside of Europe and will represent the largest equestrian sporting event ever held in the United States. Attendance of approximately 500,000 is expected through September 25- October 10, 2010. Black Stallion Literacy Foundation 13
