  • Instructions:

  • Delete sample document icon and replace with working document icons as follows:

  • Create document in Word.

  • Return to PowerPoint.

  • From Insert Menu, select Object…

  • Click “Create from File”

  • Locate File name in “File” box

  • Make sure “Display as Icon” is checked.

  • Click OK

  • Select icon

  • From Slide Show Menu, Select Action Settings.

  • Click “Object Action” and select “Edit”

  • Click OK

Sexual Harassment Prevention Goals

  • To significantly reduce the number of sexual harassment and sexual assault incidents in our schools

  • Train school personnel and parents in recognizing, acknowledging and reporting sexual harassment and sexual assault

Description of Prevention Education for Faculty,Administrators and Parents

  • Message – reduce the number of incidents which disrupt academic activities and harm positive learning environments

  • Provide training for administrators and teachers to present prevention and intervention tools for use in the classroom & school setting

  • Provide prevention classes for parents

Prevention Education for Third, Sixth and Ninth Grade Students

  • Two hour session for all 3rd graders that is based on research of developmental readiness*

  • Four hour session for all 6th graders based on research of development stage for increased information about sexual harassment and sexual assault *

  • Two – Four sessions for 9th graders dividing students by gender*

    *Proposal submitted to Denver Public Schools by RAAP

RESPECT: Sexual Harassment Intervention

  • RESPECT: (Gr. 6 – 10); This four-session intervention uses video vignettes, and role-play techniques to impact peer normative misperceptions of social cues that often lead to harassment. It is rooted in the cognitive developmental theory of Piaget, and others.
