With the Power gifts� �we can live the actions of Christ. 3 Biblical uses of spiritual gifts� 1Cor 12:1 (NKJ) Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: (ESV) Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed. (Message) What I want to talk about now is the various ways God's Spirit gets worked into our lives. This is complex and often misunderstood, but I want you to be informed and knowledgeable. 1) God wants us to be informed concerning His spiritual gifts. 1Cor 14:1 (NKJ) Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy. (NIV) Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. (Message) Go after a life of love as if your life depended on it--because it does. Give yourselves to the gifts God gives you. Most of all, try to proclaim his truth. 2) God wants us to eagerly desire spiritual gifts. 1Cor 14:12 (NKJ) Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel. (ESV) So with yourselves, since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit, strive to excel in building up the church. (Message) It's no different with you. Since you're so eager to participate in what God is doing, why don't you concentrate on doing what helps everyone in the church? 3) God wants us to be involved in building up His Church. ACTIVATION TIME! Will you commit to� - being informed concerning spiritual gifts? - eagerly desiring spiritual gifts? - participating in building up the church with the activation of spiritual gifts in your life?
