  3. FACILITIES • Most athletic contests occur on the campus of Anthony Wayne • Golf is played at Brandywine CC • Swimming is at BGSU • Ice Hockey is at Tam-O-Shanter

  4. Sports • Anthony Wayne offers It’s 1250 students:: • 22 Varsity Sports • 9 Reserve Sports • 6 Freshmen Sports

FACILITIES • Anthony Wayne athletes enjoy facilities that are among the best in Northern Ohio. • The Dick Albuagh Gymnasium which seats 2300 was built in 1997. • The Schaller Memorial Football Stadium and the Soccer/Track Complex underwent renovations in lighting and seating in 2002. • Most game fields and practice areas have sprinkler systems installed.

  7. Eligibility Requirements • Anthony Wayne athletes must abide by the Anthony Wayne High School Code of Conduct and rules and regulations set forth by The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) • Athletes must pass 5 credits towards graduation every quarter and have a 1.5 GPA. • Incoming 9th grade students must have passed 85% of their classes during the last nine weeks of their 8th grade year.

  8. Expectations of our Student Athletes • Treating the opponents with respect; shaking hands prior to and after contests. • Respecting the judgment of contest officials. • Abiding by the rules of the event and displaying no behavior that could incite fans. • Cooperating with officials, coaches and fellow participants to conduct a fair contest.

  9. Expectations of our Student Athletes • Abiding by the Code of Conduct • Accepting seriously the responsibility and privilege of representing the Anthony Wayne Schools. • Displaying positive public action at all times. • Realizing that participation in athletics is a privilege not a right.

  10. Required Paperwork • Before practicing all students must have: • A Doctor’s Physical • Proof of Insurance • Emergency Medical Form completed • All of these must be completed and turned into the Athletic Office before the student is permitted to practice.

  11. Summary • The Anthony Wayne community is very proud of its Athletes and Athletic programs. Whether home or away, the Anthony Wayne community supports the athletic programs. • We encourage you to become apart of the Anthony Wayne family, to become involved and make lasting memories of your high school career.
