    are to stay quiet.

    Deaconess (a woman chosen to assist in

    the church ministry).

  • Modesty should be promoted by mothers in their children from

    early infancy.

  • Teach the children spiritual truths.

  • Take care of the children’s physical needs.

  • In married life, the wife's roles are centered on the home and she is not burdened with contributing towards the family income.

  • In household life, to serve a worthy husband and treat his friends and relatives with affection.

  • As a wife, she performs four roles: 1. as a servant (dasi) in duty, 2. as a minister (mantri) in decision making, 3. as a mother (mata) to and 4. as a lover (rambha) in his bed.

  • Wives are to be in subjection to their husbands.

  • The wife is responsible for the welfare of the family.

  • Responsible for the nurturing, guidance and improvement of the following generations of men and women.
