Mission Statement

The AALAS Foundation supports educational outreach on the essential role of responsible laboratory animal care and use in science to advance human and animal health.

The aalas foundation is a separate 501 c 3 organization l.jpg
The AALAS Foundation is aSeparate 501(c) 3 Organization

  • In 1999 the AALAS Foundation recognized the need to separate from AALAS to focus on charitable activities, achieve more visibility, and raise the comfort level of prospective donors

  • By becoming a separate 501(c) 3 organization, the Foundation Board has sufficient independence to permit originality, creativity and sound management of its endeavors

  • At the same time, the Board can ensure that their activities are not at cross purposes with those of AALAS.

What does the foundation do l.jpg
What Does the Foundation Do?

  • The future of our profession and biomedical science depends on promoting the benefits of biomedical research through public outreach and training.

    With your donations, we fund:

  • The development of projects, educational materials, web-based public information resources, training, and other innovative efforts.

  • These items help educate the public, students, and our friends and children about the importance of quality laboratory animal care, research, and medicine.
