They understand that children are more susceptible to the effects of poverty due to their inability to provide for themselves and their reliance on their loved ones.

One out of every three Israeli children is suffering from hunger, one out of every four people is living in poverty overall, and one out of every five elderly citizens is in need of immediate medical assistance.
