  1. A SHORT NOTE ON C-ARM X RAY MACHINE

  2. A C-Arm x ray machine is an advanced medical imaging device that works on X ray technology. It is used for fluoroscopy and have radiographic capabilities. The machine is called C-arm machine due to its C shape structure. At one end of the C-arm exists a x ray source and at the other end exists the detector. These X ray machines are used during gastroenterology, orthopedic, urology operations. They are also used for surgical operations, pain management, emergency operations, angiography, therapeutic and cardiac operations. These X ray machines can take pictures from any angle and position so that the surgeons can view the condition of patient’s concerned body part during operational procedures. Some of the C arm machines are mobile and portable offering a lot of flexibility to the doctors and healthcare professionals. A fully operational C-Arm X ray machine consists of a X ray generator, flat panel detector or image intensifier, workstation and some controls and settings. The C arm connecting the generator and detector allows horizontal and well as vertical movement. These machines can also rotate or move around the swivel axes so that images of patient’s can be produced from many angles.

  3. The patient’s body is generally placed between the x ray source and detector. The x ray passes through the patient’s particular body part taking the images of the body part. Later the image is reflected on the screen monitor. The C arm machine can also be used to check fractures and other problems in bone joints. There are many X ray machines that are being used in the healthcare industries. Radiography or fixed fluoroscopy machines are used for detecting faults in body parts such as vein blockages, but C arm x ray machine on the other hand, is used for taking images during surgical operations.
