  5. ACLS treatment refers to a serious medical emergency. Only qualified, experienced, and skilled healthcare professionals can provide it. These healthcare professionals include paramedics, physicians, pharmacists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and respiratory therapists. ACLS requires the ability to manage the patient's airway, initiate vascular access, read and interpret electrocardiogram (ECG) and provide the essential treatment accordingly.

Here are the details of the advanced cardiac life support course- Aim: The course is specifically designed for all healthcare professionals involved in the provision of emergency cardiac care including those working in pre-hospital and in-hospital settings. Pre-requisites: The participants must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate. This should have been issued within the last 12 months. Students should be physically well enough to carry out chest compression.
