To make sure the patient does not end up with another infection while he is recovering from the first one, safety and hygiene are of utmost importance. There are various methods that technicians in hospitals can adopt to ensure that the surgical instruments are always well kept and impeccably clean. Out of all the methods, ultrasonic cleaning is known to be the best one and ensures 99.999% removal of germs and any kind of debris. However, when it comes to cleaning very hinged and delicate instruments, hospital staff must take the time out to manually clean them. Most important thing is to clean them as soon as it’s used. It should be immediately rinsed off with warm water to wash away any debris or fluid matter. Further disinfection should be carried out through the ultrasonic machine. For manual cleaning, a good quality brush should be used to clean everything gently. All the steps and procedures are important because not only your reputation but someone’s life is at stake too.
