History • Arsenal and Tottenham are fierce Premier League rivals, whose grounds are only 5 miles away from each other in North London. • Tottenham have been in the same area for 126 years • Arsenal have moved grounds at least 4 times, having originated in Woolwich, South London and have gone through 4 different names also.

  3. Arsenal Famous Players • Peter Storey made over 500 appearances for Arsenal from 1961-1977. • When he retired from the game he was convicted for smuggling, car theft, and forgery. • Tony Adams was Arsenal Captain, and played for them from 1983-2002. • In 1982 he was convicted for drink-driving and spent two months in jail. • George Graham played for and managed Arsenal between 1966 and 1995 • In 1995 he was sacked by Arsenal and banned by the Football Association having been found to have taken illegal payments from a football agent.

Tottenham Famous Players • Jurgen Klinsmann captained Germany to a World Cup victory in 1990 • He spent two spells at Spurs between 1994 and 1998 and won the Footballer of the Year award in 1995 • Jimmy Greaves was top scorer in the top Division for 6 seasons – a record • He played for Spurs from 1961-1969 • Tottenham strikers Les Ferdinand, Teddy Sheringham and Robbie Keane have all scored more than 100 goals each in the Premier League

Tottenham Successes • The only non-league team ever to win the FA cup • Played 9 finals and won 8 times • The first team in the 20th Century to win the League and FA cup Double • This was repeated 10 years later by Arsenal • The first English team to win a major European trophy • Won 3 out of 4 European finals • Won 4 League Cups • Won 4 out of 6 League Cup finals
