  1. When Thanksgiving gets a little closer, you may begin pondering changing your conventional turkey up for a deep fried one. There are lots of deep fried turkey recipes around the internet which represents the popularity of this unique culinary way of the ever-tasty turkey. Naturally, what recipe you select depends greatly on flavor preferences. Before starting regardless of what, yet, there are some things you ought to know about deep frying turkey. If you happen to be a supporter of crunchy skin - be prepared to fight every inch over. General, deep frying makes for a soft, succulent turkey. On the negative if you are on a diet, deep fried turkey recipes will not help much (mind you, I believe vacations should be a time to give your diet a rest!). If it is not emptied entirely your turkey may taste greasy. Dry Rub, Both or Shot? I admit I am in this group, being a huge flavor junkie. That said, a rub is a much safer course when frying your fowl. Why? Because with a shot, you must make sure to get the marinade under the skin into the meat, NOT. And ending up with terrible burns in your face is not the greatest means to observe the holidays.
