  2. Personal Law We’re a family law firm of ‘people people’. When we take your case we take it personally. In a famous law judgement in 1932, Lord Justice Greer defined the normal British Citizen as ‘the man on the Clapham Omnibus’. If he were making the judgement today he would, of course, also add ‘the woman on the Clapham Omnibus’. The fact is that the normal British Citizen doesn’t have to deal with the law very often so, if you need to get involved in a ‘personal law’ issue, no matter how straightforward or complicated, it’s important you find a lawyer who can be your friend, and explain everything in a fair and transparent fashion.

  3. Residential Conveyancing Buying a new house is one of the biggest events of your entire life. Moving-in is just an amazing experience. There is no moment you could imagine feeling more proud of yourself and excited for the amazing things you’re going to do throughout your time in that home. You’ll lead legal help of course – and the same when the time comes to sell.

  4. Family, Matrimonial & Divorce Relationships can be difficult, and statistics show that not all relationships last. Even when you and your partner have no children and can amicably decide that it is not in your best interests to stay together, you can find it difficult enough to walk away from the situation. If there is a dispute it can be emotionally and financially draining. One thing we set out to do – whether it’s divorce or another family matter – is make the legal process as low-stress as possible.

  5. Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney Everybody should make a will – it protects your inheritance. Increasingly, with people going into care, and the prospect of Alzheimer’s Disease, older people need to give a loved or trusted one their Lasting Power of Attorney to ensure decisions can be made for you if you are considered ‘unfit’ to make those decisions yourself. This can be in medical situations or in financial situations (though you could select the same person for both of these situations).
