  1. St. Dunstan’s Parish ChurchCranbrook, Kent, England William Eddye was Vicar here from 1592 to 1616. His two sons John and Samuel migrated to Plymouth Colony in 1630. The Eddyville, New York, branch of the family is descended from Samuel.

  2. St. Dunstan’s Parish ChurchThe exterior is as it was in 1550.Beginning in the fourteenth century, Cranbrook was a prosperous “wool town.” Affluent weavers and merchants contributed to expanding and beautifying the church.The clock in the bell tower dates to 1855.

  3. St. Dunstan’s Parish ChurchThe lower part of the tower dates to the early fifteenth century, the upper part to the early sixteenth century.

  4. St. Dunstan’s Parish ChurchThe arches, pillars, and clerestory windows are in the late perpendicular style of the early sixteenth century

  5. St. Dunstan’s Parish ChurchThis stained glass window is one of three windows in the south wall of the church donated by Robert Henry Eddy of Boston, Massachusetts. The windows were installed in 1902.

  7. Ross Edmunds Dunn constructed this PowerPoint presentation. Ross is a great great grandson of William Hurd Eddy of Eddyville and a great grandson of Lydia Louisa Eddy, the second wife of G. W. G. Bowen. Ross and his wife Jeanne visited St. Dunstan’s Parish Church in Cranbrook in 2001. The Dunns live in La Mesa, California.
