Lessons Learned

  • Find corporate sponsors

  • Eliminate catering. There were lots of lunchtime food choices around site and cost adds financial risk for small turnout

  • Always have back up speakers in mind. Our big time speaker from D.C. backed out two days prior due to sudden work issues

  • Work hard to pick a topic that people will show up for
