  1. Ways to Develop Resilience in Children

  2. Introduction Resilience is this quality of an individual to successfully bounce back from all hardships and stresses in life. It is not an inborn skill that some has or some does not, one can totally foster resilient skills upon growing up.A resilient child always has confidence and a positive attitude in life to face problems with all the available resources. There are ways in which parents and teachers can develop resilience in children and teenagers, there are good group therapy sessions that also help children in enhancing their skills as part of a group or a community.

  3. 1Promote them to make connections: CONTINUE Let us see the tips in developing resilience right from the childhood: Having good friendships and maintaining connections with relatives are very relevant in the life ahead.  Parents or teachers or therapists must duly note any child being isolating in classrooms or playgrounds and encourage them to start friendships, share things and feel for others. Encourage healthy risks: You should always encourage children to go beyond their comfort zones and take healthy risks, that will not cause major harm if it becomes unsuccessful. Participating in a school play or playing a new game are ways through which they become confident in life. Avoiding all possible risks will make them shy and they think themselves to be weak and not strong enough to face challenges.

  4. Instead of fixing, ask them to fix their problems: 1 CONTINUE When your child comes with a problem instead of finding a solution right away and fix them, ask questions to the child and let him or her come up with the right solution after thinking.  This helps them in going through their own problems and reaching at the right option that will get them out of the problem. Demonstrate resilience: The best way to make them resilient is by demonstrating the harsh situations and how one can cope with calming strategies such as deep breaths that work best in stress, effective talking with friends and family etc.

  5. Go Outside: 1 Outdoors really does have great effects in our lives. A walk through the outdoors or a game or simply swinging in the playground can help you strengthen your mind and release tensions, you can also see solutions beginning to appear automatically. Accept that changes are inevitable: Some children get worried when things start to change in their lives and in others surrounding them.  Make them realise that changes are quite natural and it will definitely happen in life so always learn to replace the old goals with new ones if they are unattainable.

  6. CONCLUSION By different methods as these one can always enhance the resilient powers in children as they grow up.
