Traditional Chinese kites • Why Traditional kites? • When did they begin to design them? • What was the significance of kites in Ancient China? • Were there any traditions of flying kites for ceremonies? • Did children play with them? • Present your findings in a brochure • Was there symbolism around the colours of kites? • Construct your OWN kite and explain the design and colours used. (e.g has the story been remembered for centuries?) • Rewrite one story in your own words (imagine it is for a child to read) • How are they similar to the fairytales we know? • How are they different to fairytales we know?
