Activity Follows Doing Activity Follows 20 hours done thus far at varying times throughout the day, including hours from all shifts 8 RNs followed 2 CNAs followed Data that made an impression We provide less direct care time than we had anticipated (46%) Many interruptions were validated (122 in a 12 hour shift) Our staff spends a lot of time walking and charting

    13. Getting started on WOW Well Organized Ward is the module following KHWD WOW board on display to solicit staff input regarding: Locations on unit that need reorganization Nursing process that need reevaluation Ideas for improvement Volunteers to help!

    15. Well Organized Ward After 2 weeks, WOW board information gathered and consolidated Chose 3 simple yet high impact areas for staff to have final vote on which area to “WOW” first Volunteers chosen to assist with WOW announced

Barriers Encountered Lucky to have very engaged and enthusiastic staff However, some staff not taking initiative to attend staff meetings or read boards “How would you like to receive information” chart RT2C is a very large project and time intensive-some staff having trouble grasping concept Timeline to be posted in breakroom A few members are not in the habit of engaging in unit based projects Ask them to help lead modules Safety crosses not always being updated Night AHN agreed to oversee and educate staff
