The NPS Metadata Tools & Editor • Custom software tool for National Park Service metadata • ArcCatalog extension • managing geospatial metadata • Stand-alone application • managing non-spatial metadata outside of ArcCatalog • Primary editor for metadata that will be uploaded to the NR & GIS Data Store 2006 I&M Data Management Conference

MTE Stylesheets • Uses stylesheets to display XML metadata • Special editing stylesheets • Each stylesheet is tailored to a particular type of metadata • NPS-specific stylesheets • based on the NPS Profile metadata extension • contains all elements in the FGDC, ESRI, and Biological metadata standards and profiles plus NPS-specific elements. 2006 I&M Data Management Conference
