  4. City Council RequestJanuary 25, 2005 • 1. Review the Comprehensive Plan and the zoning ordinance language dealing with residential uses. • 2. Survey and categorize properties in the SR1 and SR2 zoning districts in the following categories: ∙ Vacation rental ∙ Owner occupied homes • 3. Survey and categorize construction trends including demolitions and sizes of new construction for the past fifteen years.

  5. City Council Request(continued) • 4. Determine the economic impact of rental properties including revenues generated and expenses. • 5. Determine the impact rentals have on the quality of life in the affected districts through communication with residents and collection of public safety data. • 6. Prepare report and recommendations for City Council.

  6. Planning Commission’s Strategic Plan • Create subcommittees of the Commission- Economic, Statistical and Database Management • Create database of information available from Assessor's office and rental license information
