CBSE UGC NET Exam 2016 • CBSE UGC NET Exam is conducted for determining the eligibility for the Award of junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & Lectureship Eligibility in various Indian colleges & Universities. • NET Exam is conducted to ensure a minimum standard for the applicants in Teaching & Research Profession. • In India NET Exam is conducted in 78 subjects at 74 university centers. • Candidates qualifying for JRF (NET), will also be eligible for Lectureship (NET)

SLET Exam 2016 • SET Exam qualified candidates are also eligible for the lectureship post in the college & universities in the same state, they have passed the SET Exam. • SET Exam is conducted in English & the vernacular both languages. • SET Exam was bought by the state government by which candidates can appear in the Exam in their mother tongue.

States Which Conduct SLET Exam • Maharashtra & Goa • Tamil Nadu (under consideration as on 14-07-2005) • Madhya Pradesh • Andhra Pradesh • Himachal Pradesh • Jammu & Kashmir • Rajasthan • West Bengal • NE-SLET (Which includes all North Eastern states and Sikkim) • Karnataka (Under consideration as on 14-07-2005)

  8. Eligibility for NET & SLET Exam 1. Educational Eligibility: • For General 55% in Masters • For ST/SC 50% in Masters 2. Age Limit: There is no age limit for both Exams. 3. Attempts: Candidates can attempt any number of chances in NET & SLET Exams.
