Humans Will Not Be Replaced by Robots

This past June at the Automate Show in Detroit, there were a lot of fascinating, amazing, and even astounding instances of how far robot technology has come to automate manufacturing facilities and distribution hubs. Despite this, it is still obvious that cognitive intelligence is still necessary for humans because it will take a very long time for robots to be able to do precise and careful manipulation.

  1. Humans Will Not Be Replaced by Robots At the Auto Show in Detroit last June, there were many interesting, impressive, even surprising demonstrations of how robots have come to automate manufacturing plants and distribution centers. Nevertheless, it remains clear that reliable and precise manipulation of robots will not be possible for a long time and human cognitive skills are still required. Perhaps the repetitive motions of forklifts traveling from dock to job site can easily be replicated by automated guided vehicles (more than a dozen of which were on display at the Detroit show), but the actual nuance of product selection requires just as much human effort. Familiarity and accurate selection. Based on detailed data collected over the past three years, we know that manual processes still account for seventy percent (70%) of warehouse operating costs. You just have to choose

  2. Because it's just a matter of choosing, the paradigm shift of AR solutions is the only reliable methodology to ensure accurate, immediate and confirmed product picking and packing. It was amazing how billions of dollars worth of hacked tech was being sold all the time without any AR validation. Even voice dialing technology doesn't include much-needed AR. Better material selection technology reduces the percentage of errors by about thirty percent (30%). This isn't necessarily because Google's AR glasses are better at scanning than other technologies; this is because price information is always available on the visual screen. AR-powered Google Glasses drive employee trust, employee engagement and job retention, which is just as important as the hourly wage for warehouse workers has doubled in the past three years. At this wage level, the cost of one bad choice becomes unbearably unsustainable. Warehouse workers young and old alike appreciate AR-powered Google Glasses. They have traction among Gen Zers and young warehouse workers because almost all of them play video games and are used to wearing some kind of AR headset. When the task evokes an interesting aspect of the person, the task is particularly satisfying for the employee. It has also been widely reported that older workers appreciate Google AR glasses because they increase confidence and efficiency in harvesting properly. These older workers are reliable workers in warehouses and distribution centers. While workers are productive and happy, the bottom line makes an immediate impact as inventory levels are accurately reproduced and delivered in real-time. Pick awareness has grown significantly as incentives to pick quickly and accurately can be a source of bonus income and warehouse success. These warehouse workers can go down the road and find another job that pays a few dollars more an hour; it is AR technology that makes them loyal to a particular employer. Young or old, if employees like their AR pickup job, they tell their friends. They become a business company looking for new employees for the next project.

  3. Robots will not be replaced by humans. Robots will not provide the cognition needed for discernment. Those who choose the old methods do so at their own peril. As more AR-savvy warehouse operations managers take over, the market will shift to new, better, and innovative technologies.
