  1. The Young Rooster Crystal Toothaker March 5th 2008

  2. Characters • Rooster roosters crow when the sun comes up they, they peck , they have wings. • Rooster’s Father • Barnyard animals

  3. What the Fable is About • My fable is about a young rooster. His father wants him to take over bringing up the sun. So the rooster gets up the next morning, gets up on the roof, crows an awful crow, but the sun does not come up. Then all the barn yard animals are mad because the sun is not up. So the next day he tries again. He crows the loudest crow ever, and the animals are woken up. Then all the animals were mad at him again. Through the trees they see the peak of the sun. So he did bring up the sun after all.

  4. What is the Moral of the Fable Practice makes perfect.

  5. What the Fable means to me • I know that if I were to jump into something without any type of practice I would not be very good at it. For example, the first time I road my bike without training wheels I fell off, but I got back on and practiced and practiced and got the hang of it.
