  4. Why? • Focus our families on something positive • WE DON’T WANT A HANDOUT - We want a partnership • Shows the community our appreciation • We serve at home and overseas Moving Forward Giving Back

  5. Make Contact with the Community • Talk to your Commander • Contact local government • Contact Service Organizations in the area • Attend their meetings • Go to one of their events – Support them Moving Forward Giving Back

Form a Giving Back Committee • Gather Ideas: • Check and see what is already planned in your area • Collections - Determine if there is a need • Ask the Service Organizations what they need • Ask your families • Discuss Ideas: • Military Leadership • Families • Community Service Organizations Moving Forward Giving Back

Rules: • Use Military Families vs. FRG • Collections out of armory • Talk to Commander / MPOC • For example: • Military Families from Alpha Battery 1-120th , along with Boy Scout Troop 333 are hosting a community food drive at Wal-Mart on Saturday. • * Organization can ask to have a collection box placed at armory/base.
