  2. We also recognize and promote diversity. You have to keep communication open and set an example: • All hands dining program and main dining room breakfast is done by non-nursing staff and managers seven days a week. • Manager on Duty on the weekends • Purchase only universal mop handle. • Keep list of languages staff speak • Clinical site for students from St Paul College.

  3. To increase diversity you can: • Recruit staff from such places as International Institute • Recruit in some of your local papers such as The Hmong Times etc. • We have a special care unit for SE Asians • Be involved in your community • Meals on Wheels • ESL class • Maria (DON) on advisory committee at St Paul College

  4. Behavior Based Interviewing Sample questions: • Tell me about a time that you disagreed with a supervisor or a co-worker. How did you handle this? • Tell me something you have done in your career that you are proud of. • Tell me about a time you when you had to persuade an individual to change their behavior. • Tell me about a time you received praise. • Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult resident/customer. • Tell about a time when you had a satisfied customer. Someone who is better off because of the service you provided.
