  5. The Change Thanks to a $50k government grant administered through the McHenry County Workforce Network  Lean Enterprise training  SDWT stuck out like a lighthouse beacon  Finished training and started the work teams

  7. The Pain of Change Paradigm shift  What would the customer want ?  Working together  Eliminating the silos (personal and company)   Peer reviews  talk louder  can get an attitude  needs to do more himself instead of delegating  concentrate  needs to approach people better  bad attitude

  12. Output • Dollars per person per week has doubled • Standardized work • Focus on flow impediments

What I would do different • Hire a work team expert – • much different than a lean expert • Begin with the end in mind • define, dream and document what the team looks like and then be comfortable knowing it will change • Be patient • Focus on defining, teaching, talking about, correcting & modeling good teammate behaviors
